Presidential Candidate Blog Badges

I have done some looking around, and haven’t really found a great deal of good, standard sized (for blog sidebars), candidate specific endorsement badges to use on your blog. Some of the candidates have more badges and banners than others, but none of them were really what I was looking for.

Sooo…I whipped up some of my own. Nothing fancy by any means, but feel free to grab one if you want, free of charge. Of course if you use one, it’d be cool to give me a shout out, but no obligation to do so.

Ok, Super Bowl time.

Oh, We’re So Disarming Darling, Everything We Did Believe

I’ve had this track from The National burned in my head all day long. I must have listened to it 10 times in a row on the way home tonight.

This is damn near a perfect song. Great voice, fantastic lyrics, and just a hypnotic pace. My favorite song of the moment.

A Fashion And Style Blog

After she begged me for months, I finally spent some time a few weekends back, re-theme-ing my friend Amy’s blog. I have mentioned her before, but if you haven’t checked it out, her site PunkyStyle is a great fashion blog that is worth a look.

She posts often, and really has a great eye for good looking stuff, so take a peek when you can.

Cambridge Co-Working Office Space

A friend of mine just sent me an email asking if I knew of anyone that might be interested in some communal style co-working office space in the Boston area, specifically near Central Square in Cambridge. Here are the details, right from her…

Membership includes: free wi-fi, coffee/snacks, printer access, lots of
space, 24/7 use; may eventually include phone. If there are other
benefits you’d like to see, please suggest them!

Transportation: 5-10 min walk or 1 min bus-ride from Red Line (Central
Sq), parking available for 2-3 cars, very accessible for cyclists (near
Esplanade), on bus routes to Brookline/Longwood.

The space itself:

Single-family house currently under renovation, a few blocks from
Central Square in Cambridge.

Downstairs — this will be a cafe-like environment with couches &
armchairs in one room and a big table in the other. Each room is
probably 20×20, and has floor-to-ceiling windows. There is a common
kitchen which will have bar stools at the counter, and a 20×20 brick
patio in the back. These rooms might be open to day-members, or to
community events in the evenings. Also, there is a downstairs bathroom
(w/ shower for anyone cycling or running to work).

Second floor — four rooms that can comfortably accommodate 2-4
workstations each. All except the smallest have several windows. Some
storage will be available; still working out exactly what that will look
like. There is also a bathroom on the second floor. This area would be
quieter than the downstairs, so that members can concentrate. A
start-up may want to rent a whole room for easy collaboration though.

Third floor – a nice space, but the ceilings are low and sloped, so the
price will be lower too. Divided into a front and back room with one
large window each, and room for 7 desks total.

Probable pricing:
2nd floor desk – $250/month
3rd floor desk – $150/month
Access to 1st floor common areas only – $75/month

Space will be available December 1, but the lease will need to be signed Photos of the space are available, and visits can be arranged too.

Since I didn’t want to post her email address and phone number directly here, contact me if you are interested and I can happily pass you and your information along to her.
