Queen Mary 2 In Boston

While cruising around on the Bullpen (a friend’s boat), and going in and out of every enclave in Boston Harbor this Fourth Of July, we came across the Queen Mary 2, which is docked in Boston for the holiday.

Seeing this ship up close was unbelievable. The size of this thing is really beyond description, and coming up on it by sea, really gave us a unique perspective on its size. At 148,528 tons, the Queen Mary 2 is the largest ocean liner in the world.

A Little Congrats

To Julie’s younger brother, who was named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week (he pitches for Navy) after mowing down Princeton.

In tossing a complete-game six-hitter during Navy’s extra-inning victory on Saturday over Princeton, right-handed pitcher Mark McCoy (Sr./Parkland, Fla.) has been recognized as the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
