I stumbled (quite literally actually) into the set for Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, last summer down by the waterfront here in Boston. The trailer just came out, and I have to say, it looks pretty good. Gone Baby Gone looks like it rolls out the same Southie, tight-knit, cops, corruption, routine as the others…but so far, this formula has produced some of my favorite movies in The Departed and Mystic River (maybe my favorite movie), so I will almost certainly see this one.
