And this time, it isn’t for some nickel and dime blog overhaul, this is a real gig. Here is the skinny:
We are looking for a long term contract designer for two major projects that we are working on. Both projects have slightly different styles to them, but I am pretty confident that they can both be done by the same person with relative ease. The person or shop for the job should:
- Be responsible, deadline driven, and available during normal (9-5 EST) work hours.
- Be reasonably priced. We aren’t looking for charity work, but we aren’t looking to overspend either. The right person can expect a steady stream of work for at least 6-12 months and beyond, as well as a LOT of referrals (good designers are hard to come by).
- Be ideally local to the Boston area, but not necessary.
- Be comfortable and experienced designing for the web environment
- Have an understanding of CSS and basic web technologies.
- Have familiarity with designing for online advertising.
In terms of style, one of the projects is ongoing, and will involve designing 5-10 (or more, or less) category specific graphic packages to use in pre-templated mini-sites that we are building. The other project is closer to a “Web 2.0ish” corporate identity and look/feel package, which may include layout mock ups, color schemes/palettes, and logo/typography design. For this second project, the designer(s) would work closely with our technical team to implement the design elements properly.
I know this description is a bit vague, but hopefully it is a start. If you are interested in talking about this job, or have someone you can refer to me, please contact me here.
