Every now and again, I accidentally end up typing something like “f” and only “f” into my Firefox address bar, when meaning to type something like “flickr.com“. And since my default search engine is Google, firefox throws me to the “I’m Feeling Lucky” result for that particular letter, which in the case of the letter “f”, is FuckedCompany.com.

Now I have no idea how many people do this on a daily basis, but my guess is a lot. Enough to drive a noticeable amount of traffic over the course of say a one month period. From what I understand, Netscape used to sell the default bookmark space on it’s browser, so wouldn’t it be a good idea to sell the letters in this case? Sending “a” traffic to andrewteman.org for instance…on a CPM basis.

Just a thought….
