Cop Talk
Cop speak is great. You know what I am talking about. Whenever you see the local cops on the news, describing an incident, they use overly flowery and official sounding language, peppered with made up words that only the high school educated could use with a straight face. Now burgle and burgled are two of my favorite words, but burglarous? Come on BPD, now you are just making shit up.
Ernesto Caraballo, 25, of Chelsea, was arrested for Attempted Breaking & Entering, Possession of Burglarous Tools, and Assault & Battery with Dangerous Weapon at approximately 8:30am on Trenton Street in East Boston. Caraballo was observed attempting to pry a car window open with a screwdriver. When the victim approached Caraballo, he was threatened with the screwdriver. A neighbor who witnessed the incident quickly dialed 911. The victim was not injured.
Again, I guess we should cut them some slack when it comes to wording. They must get tired of finding new ways to title posts “Shooting On Blue Hill Ave” without screwing up permalinks, so throwing in some fake words now and again is just their way of blowing off some steam.

MySpace Cease And Desist
Here is a s ample C&D letter that MySpace is sending to anyone using a domain containing “myspace” in the url for commercial purposes…
To whom it may concern:
MySpace, Inc. (“MySpace”) is a Delaware corporation that operates an online community at www.MySpace.com under the federally registered trademark MYSPACE (Reg. No. 2,911,041). We are writing to demand an immediate halt to certain ongoing illegal activity.
It has come to our attention that you are operating a website under the domain name www.myspace(SOMETHING). You are using the MYSPACE mark in your domain name and on your website without our authorization. In addition, you are falsely posing as employees of MySpace in your e-mail communications with other parties.
Your activities violate various federal and state laws, including without limitation trademark and trade dress infringement and false designation of origin under the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. ? 1051, et seq., and trademark dilution under the Federal Trademark Dilution Act of 1995, 15 U.S.C. ? 1125(c).By this letter, MySpace demands that you and each of your affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and other persons and entities acting in concert with you or at your direction, immediately cease and desist from the activities described above in connection with your website or other products or services. Immediately cease the operation of your website and you impersonation of MySpace employees. In addition, we hereby demand that you remove the site www.myspace(SOMETHING) from the internet, relinquish and transfer the domain to MySpace, and refrain from registering the words “My” and “Space” in combination with any other word(s) in any future domains. Do not transfer this domain to any party except for MySpace. Your activities are causing and will continue to cause MySpace substantial and irreparable harm. You will be liable for the damages suffered by MySpace, and will be subject to penalties, fines and even
