I was appauled to see that her and her friends were dressed to look much older, and some of her friends even misrepresented their age! Of course, my daughter looked like an angel compared to some of her friends. During my free time, I browse some of their blog entriesonly to hear them talking about sex and using drugs. This seems like a very dangerous enviroment for these girls - especially who are misrepresenting their age. I'm convinced that MySpace is the AOL for this generations tech sector. Not that its a bad thing being a hugely successful company with a rabid fan base. But it's definitely not all roses. The similarities are pretty obvious: 1. Huge not so savvy user base 2. Annoying in all the ways that attract a huge not so savvy user base 3. Ungodly downtimes that only a true believer (or someone who doesn't know better) could live with 4. Ugly as sin 5. Huge not so savvy user base It's not for me, but it's a marketers wet dream.
