I won the opening band lottery last night. No, it wasn’t Inara George opening for Nada Surf that caught my attention (although they were more a victim of being mis-matched with the other acts than anything), but Oakland’s own Rogue Wave.
They are my pick for today’s MixTapeDaily, which I should totally rename to “MixTapeShitIForgotToUpdateItAgainSoItIsntReallyDaily.com”, but that is besides the point. Check these guys on MySpace and love em.

Inara George is fantastic. I saw her open for Rhett Miller at the Swedish American Club in SF. Amazing voice and amazing songs. Did you know that she is the daughter of the guitarist from Little Feet? Anyway, I am now off to check out Rogue Wave.
