Alexa ToolBar For Firefox

Mon, Aug 8, 2005

Uncategorized

How does this still not exist? I would imagine with the API happy Amazon/Alexa, and the open-source champion Mozilla/Firefox, that there would have been something developed that makes the Alexa tool-bar function on Firefox. An extension? Grease monkey? Anything?

Something that is even more tantalizing and frustrating, is that I know the A9 tool-bar works on Firefox…and A9 is a product of Amazon…and Alexa is a product of Amazon…so WTF?

If anyone knows of any fanciness that allows one to work with the other, let me know.

There is a Google/Alexa toolbar present.Any way, the alexa project, from the beginning, didn’t support Firefox users.

Theres an Firefox extension called search status which does what you’re after, It will retrieve information from alexa and also update it with your own browsing habits. Its the only one I know of.
