
I don’t ask for much, but a little credit when and where credit is due makes me happy. Not giving credit when and where it is due, makes me rather angry, and I know that I am not alone in thinking this.
I do my absolute best to credit my sources whenever and wherever possible, and believe that the same should be done when people use my content or ideas. I don’t do this stuff for profit, and I like when people enjoy or use my content, but throw me a friggin’ respect bone here will ya? It is common professional courtesy.
This post and sentiment was brought about this morning when someone posted a comment to my blog pointing out a new Boondocks comic that is appearing on Yahoo this morning. Boondocks is written by Aaron McGruder, and by looking at today’s offering, it would appear that Mr. McGruder has borrowed a bit of my content and used it in his for profit business of comic strip writing. Now, I know that calling this copyright infringement and/or plagiarism is a bit of a stretch, but pointing out that my post from January was clearly clipped and used for this comic is not too far fetched. Come on Aaron, you are better than that…

Just placed another pre-order for another album that I am eagerly anticipating, Make Believe from Weezer
Or so I would like to think. Seems that the fine folks over at Apple finally realized that their affiliate program had one giant and horrific flaw. Namely that if a person looking to download some music from iTunes via an affiliate link did not have iTunes installed yet, clicking the link would throw the user a mysterious and awful error page rather than default to an iTunes download page.
