While shopping in TJ Maxx the other day, I couldn’t help but notice that they had some Eagle-Eye Cherry on their musak soundtrack. I guess using the phrase, “some Eagle-Eye Cherry” is a bit misleading, seeing it was just one song (Save Tonight) and that this is the only song that I believe he ever made. Or at least the only song he ever made that anyone ever heard.
I think in rare cases such as these, where an artist is a bonafide one hit wonder, and there is another more successful artist that looks just like him and sounds fairly similar, that the more successful artist should be able to annex that one hit from the less successful artist and bring it into their own catalog. The more successful artist in this case would be Ben Harper, who looks and sounds very very similarly to Eagle Eye, but is undeniably more successful. I think from now on I am just going to consider “Save Tonight” a Ben Harper song and free up those 6 or 7 neurons that have stored Eagle Eye Cherry information for the past 6 or so years.

Ben Harper is often seen covering Eagle Eye Cherry songs because it is his father.
Just so you know :]

Are you retarded?
Eagle Eye Cherry DOB - 5/7/1971
Ben Harper DOB - 10/28/1968
So unless he had Ben when he was 3, this theory is a bit…er..retarded.

Well, Eagle-eye and Ben Harper have very similar things but you must be def…just compare the lyrics…Have you ever played guitar?Try to…play eagle-eye’s songs and ben also…and you will see the differences of schemes.
Anyway, try to hear “lonely days(miles away”, “rainbow wings” stc..This are Cherry’s best songs ever.
I suppose you have a pijama with Ben Harper on the front.
Get lost, dude
