Hide your daughters, I’m in. Courtesy of a friend, I am now a member of Yahoo’s new social networking site, Yahoo 360. As the person who invited me points out in his own blog, I too will only pass on invites to those I know.

I have been in all of 5 minutes and it looks decent. I am however bothered by the need to once again fill out all of my favorite books, bands, sites, etc… I think I will just go copy my answers out of MySpace and paste them into the similar fields in Yahoo 360. Someone should build a little plug-in for social networking sites that let’s you port this crap from one site to the next. If that remains my biggest complaint, I will consider this site a success. It is early though, and I will post a more thorough analysis when I get around to it.

I do wonder though, that even with the coolest setup and tools, can they compete with the 10,000 pound gorilla in the room and it’s 8 million friends?
