My latest RSS feed complaint. Upcoming.org. I wanted to use their feed for a little site called music-post that I am messing with to provide show listings. However, for some odd reason the listings they provide via RSS do not link back to the listings on their site. Call me crazy, but isn’t RSS supposed to really serve two purposes? To provide content and to drive traffic back to the content providing site? This may need to be a whole section - sites that suck at RSS.
*Note - Andy Baio over at Upcoming.org has taken care of this bug. He is a good man and runs a good site.

Hey, I run Upcoming.org. I had the link back to the event in the “guid” element, which worked for most RSS readers… But I *didn’t* have a “link” element.
So I added it in. Enjoy!

Love your site! Hate the fact that I only get 1/3 of your post available for your RSS feeds. Anyway you can change your Typepad configuration to offer the full feed?
Muchas gracias.

Any chance you could update your entry to note that this bug was fixed?
